Biography

Clayton RiceMr. Rice received his Bachelor of Laws degree from Dalhousie University and his Master of Laws degree from New York University. He was a professor of law at The University of Alberta, Faculty of Law, for ten years where he taught Criminal Law, Evidence and Constitutional Law. He is a member of The Law Society of Alberta and a King’s Counsel.

Mr. Rice has been active in civil rights and human rights law throughout his career. He is a member of the American Civil Liberties Union and the Criminal Defence Lawyers Association. He is a past President of the Calgary Civil Liberties Association.
